From May 6 – May 9, 2014 Media-X’s own Bonnie Homewood will be attending the Canadian Association of Principals’ annual conference. This year it will take place in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Bonnie has elected to drive the 14 and a half hours it takes to get there.  She’s a trooper.

For those of you unfamiliar with CAP, they are a gathering of principals and vice-principals who have become the representative body of all principals in Canada.  These individuals share their views and opinions in regards to a wide variety of issues relating to the management of schools and they essentially represent the views of all principals at a national level.

Please refer to for more information on the Canadian Association of Principals (CAP).

The purpose of this conference is to act as a ‘gathering of the minds’, so to speak, offering these school leaders new strategies and insightful opinions to better run their schools.  The event will revolve around several keynote speakers, workshops, and vendor exhibits before culminating with a harbour boat cruise and lobster dinner.

Apart from us, there will be a decent amount of vendors attending this conference.  This includes, but isn’t limited to, other educational support companies, bookstores and the tourism bureau for Saint Pierre and Miquelon: The little known islands off the coast of Newfoundland that represent France’s only remaining land from the former colony of New France.  You possibly just learned something new!

If you’re attending this conference, be sure to stop by the Media-X booth where Bonnie will be performing demonstrations of iCoach and eWalk.  This is also your chance to find out all there is to know about any of the Media-X programs from a pro, so get your questions ready!

The conference is taking place at the Westin Nova Scotian hotel, located near Halifax’s bustling harbour.
