Data collection templates

  • Templates are created on-line in eWalk
  • Unlimited number of templates can be created and shared with other eWalk users, or with an entire school, district, college or organization
  • Template can have up to 6 Palm input screens plus an overview screen
  • Templates can include up to 30 data input elements - each can reference a checklist with up to 14 elements
  • Data element types: number, text, date, time, pulldown, rubric
  • Templates can be categorized and include subjects that allows the template to be used with individual staff or students
  • Templates can be used directly on the web through
    mxweb, or by using the template with the eWalk Palm handheld client

Handheld client (Palm, PocketPC, Blackberry)

  • Support for multiple templates on the handheld
  • All observations automatically time/date
  • Attach an anecdotal note to each element (250 char.)
  • Built-in observation timer
  • Each checklist element can record a checkmark, a number or it can be used as an incremental counter
  • Completed observations can be uploaded wirelessly or thorugh a regular HotSync

Data aggregation / exporting

  • Data automatically uploaded to the web from Palm handheld during HotSync or wireless transfer
  • Support for uploading by an unlimited number of eWalk users within an organization
  • Data is stored in SQL database for analsysis,
    printing, etc.
  • Data can be exported in Excel format by user
  • System administrator can view walk-throughs

  • All users have access to a variety of built-in reports to view each element, overall observation reports, etc.
  • Reports include ability to select template, individual sites or entire organization, date range, etc.
  • Cross tabulation provides ability to compare two elements dynamcially
  • Custom reports available upon request
