Data collection templates

  • Templates are created on-line in eWalk
  • Unlimited number of templates can be created and shared with other eWalk users, or with an entire school, district, college or organization
  • Template can have up to 6 Palm input screens plus an overview screen
  • Templates can include up to 30 data input elements - each can reference a checklist with up to 14 elements
  • Data element types: number, text, date, time, pulldown, rubric
  • Templates can be categorized and include subjects that allows the template to be used with individual staff or students
  • Templates can be used directly on the web through
    mxweb, or by using the template with the eWalk Palm handheld client

How to build a data collection and analysis system with eWalk.

  1. Create one or more templates in eWalk on the web, with the elements you want (you can use numbers, checklists, pulldowns, rubrics, date/time stamps, etc.) You can share your templates with others with one click.

  2. The eWalk templates are downloaded from the web to your Palm during your next HotSync- ready to use.

  3. Now use eWalk on your Palm to complete observations, surveys, walk-throughs, inspections, etc. Completed observations are automatically uploaded to the web.

  4. Uploaded observations can be printed, saved as PDFs and emailed.

  5. Analyze your data with various built-in reports, or export data in Excel format.
