Use eWalk® to design powerful web-based, handheld applications

  • Walking around, observing and making mental notes is sound management practice. Turning those observations into data is a simple technique that can help your organization make decisions based on statistical evidence instead of conflicting memories.
  • eWalk® from Media-X Systems, is an easy to use data collection system to collect, analyze and store data.
  • You can collect data directly through web-based forms, or download a data collection template to your handheld (iPhone/iPod Touch, Palm, Pocket PC, Blackberry) or laptop/netbook to record observations using various input elements including pull-downs, checkboxes, numeric entry, text entry etc.
  • The results are uploaded to the web for printing and instant data analysis. You can attach custom forms or export the data in a standard format that can be used in Excel, FileMaker and many other programs.
  • eWalk® includes a variety of built-in statistical reports, including cross tabulations, comparisons, etc. Each data element is presented numerically and visually. For greater control, Media-X can provide eWalk statistical reports customzied for your organization.
  • eWalk® can also be used with eTeacher®, mVal® or iNotice® to collect data for a wide variety of evaluation and reporting tasks.

Data collection templates
  • Templates are created on-line in eWalk
  • Unlimited number of templates can be created and shared with other eWalk users, or with an entire school, district, college or organization
  • Template can have up to 6 Palm input screens plus an overview screen
  • Templates can include up to 30 data input elements - each can reference a checklist with up to 14 elements
  • Data element types: number, text, date, time, pulldown, rubric
  • Templates can be categorized and include subjects that allows the template to be used with individual staff or students
  • Templates can be used directly on the web throughmxweb, or by using the template with the eWalk Palm handheld client
Handheld client (Palm, PocketPC, Blackberry)
